Welcome to the Sheridan Zine Club!
Our 'main' activity is our yearly anthology zine produced as a club, where our contributors produce a fully illustrated page or a piece of merchandise for our club zine. The theme is decided upon by members, and then the rest of the school year is taken to produce the art! Our zine follows all the steps a public zine would in order to give contributors an accurate experience. We also offer lots of fun activites and event nights outside of the zine, including providing a space to work on schoolwork, zine projects, ask questions of other artists, and meet new friends in the Sheridan community.
Please remember to use your college username and password to log in when you apply to join the club so we can send the discord link to you!

faq
What is a zine?
The word zine can mean various things. Most commonly it refers to a self-published or limited issue booklet of art or writing. In our case it is a limited-run, self-published book featuring artwork from various illustrators. What do we do in on-campus meetings?
A variety of things! The executive team will host presentations on various aspects of the zine as needed, as well as hosting other activities and answering any questions you may have.Otherwise, our on-campus meetings are also a dedicated time and space for members to work on zine, personal, or school projects, as well as socialize and relax. We hope to create a supportive community where we can chat and ask questions related to both art in general and the zine scene. Will there be special events?
Yes! We plan to have fun events such as movie nights, zine making nights, game nights, art exchange events, art telephone etc. What is the club zine about?
The theme of the zine is voted on annually by members in September.
The theme of the 2024-2025 zine will be NostalgiaWhat is the zine format?
The physical zine will be A5, and perfect bound. How many contributors will be accepted?
Due to page and budget limits, around 45 contributors, and 5 merch artists (with some wiggle room) will be accepted to the club zine. This will be an art-only zine. Other club members are welcome to participate in meetings, hang out in the servers and attend events! How will contributors be compensated?
Contributors will receive a free physical zine (or digital, if preferred). If we make sufficient proceeds our next goal is to give all contributors a full bundle of merch. Otherwise, any and all further profits from the zine will be used to fund future club projects.
